Merry Christmas from Natroma!

Our Stourbridge shop will be open this week until Friday 23rd December 2016.  We're still receiving lots on website orders and these will be posted out right up until we close for the year (but we can't guarantee parcels will arrive before Christmas, unless orders are received within the next day and postage is upgraded).

Our Stourbridge shop will be closed from Christmas Eve until 14th January 2017 - so we can re-charge the batteries!  But our Natroma website will continue to accept orders and we'll be calling in, to process these as normal from 4th January 2017.  So if local customers need anything urgent, please drop us an e-mail and we'll try to organise a mutually convenient collection date!

In the meantime, thanks to everyone for their custom and support during 2016.  We greatly valued everyone's kindness and goodwill as we celebrated our 10th Birthday this year.  We hope you have a peaceful and restful Christmas break, and a Happy New Year in 2017!

Christmas Dates 2016

Thanks for the Christmas orders!  We're still managing to dispatch orders within 24-48 hours, but it will soon be too late to receive your items in time for Christmas.  Please send in your orders asap, since we'd hate to cause any disappointment.

Christmas Events!

Just wanted to remind everyone who visits our Stourbridge shop that November is going to be a busy month, because we're out and about at Christmas events.

The first one is this weekend at Tatton Park:

Natroma & The Natural Soapworks - natural skincare Christmas gifts at Tatton Park!

We love attending this lovely event but it means that our workshop will be closed at the weekend.

We'd advise that customers continue to check our Natroma website opening hours page for up to date information of when the workshop will be closed, and hope this saves any unnecessary journeys while we are away.

Natroma & The Natural Soapworks 10th Birthday!

Our 10th birthday celebration will be held in our Stourbridge shop at the Ruskin Glass Centre on Saturday 1st October 2016 (10am - 4pm).

We'll have special offers during the day, we've created a special edition Celebration soap (we'll be giving away these as free gifts with purchases), we're running a prize draw for 10 birthday goodie bags and we'll be launching our Christmas catalogue.

Please call in to see us if you can!

 ENTER OUR BIRTHDAY PRIZE DRAW!
To enter our prize draw, you simply need to post a product review on the Natroma website, add a review on our Natroma Facebook page or fill out an entry form in our shop.

Simply nominate your favourite Natural Soapworks or Natroma product, give it a star rating out of 5 and say why you like it. (We'll be adding the feedback we receive to our Natroma website, since we know that the product reviews help new customers to select the right products for their skin).

We'll draw out the 10 lucky winners after our birthday weekend. Good luck!

Summer Break

Just wanted to let everyone know that our Stourbridge shop at the Ruskin Glass Centre will be closed for the next couple of weeks, while we take a summer break.

While we're away website orders will be processed as normal.

We expect to be calling into the workshop a few times each week so if local customers have any urgent needs, then please drop us an e-mail and we'll see if we can arrange a mutually convenient collection time.

We'll be back to normal again on Tuesday 23rd August, when our shop re-opens at 1pm.  Take care!

Natroma Handmade Goat's Milk Soap Wins Best Buy Award!

Natroma award winning handmade natural goats milk soaps
Natroma - handmade aromatherapy organic goat's milk soap
We’re delighted to announce that The Green Parent magazine has awarded a Best Buy award to our Natroma Carrot & Calendula organic goat’s milk soap in their 2016 Natural Beauty Awards!

Handmade with organic cruelty-free certified botanical oils and aromatherapy grade essential oils, our Carrot & Calendula has been a popular soap variety for a while.  So we were thrilled to hear that one of our handmade natural soaps beat off competition from much larger companies, to achieve the Best Buy award!

Our goat's milk soaps were developed especially for eczema, psoriasis and sensitive skin types, so we hope this award encourages more people to try using natural soaps as a more gentle and natural way of cleansing their skin.  We think the addition of the goat's milk really adds something to the way our aromatherapy soaps feel on the skin, helping sufferers of eczema and psoriasis who often struggle to find cosmetic products that don't cause skin irritation.

Each year The Green Parent Magazine Beauty Awards search for the safest, cleanest, greenest and most effective natural products in a range of categories.  Each of the winning items in the 2016 awards has been carefully chosen and tested by an independent review panel.  The Award winners will appear in the 2016 Natural Beauty Bible which will be published later in July.

We decided to enter this year’s awards because of The Green Parent’s approach, they say:  “We insist on products free from petroleum-based chemicals, propylene glycol, parabens or sulphates and NO animal testing so you can be assured of their safety. We believe that beauty is more than skin deep. So we seek out those products that are made by passionate people; companies that we can trust; those who put care and love into their work”.

Thanks Green Parent - we're delighted with this win!

Natroma & The Natural Soapworks Opening Hours

Just wanted to mention that we're going to try extending our opening hours for our Ruskin Glass Centre shop.  The Centre has been very quiet during the long period of building work, but the good news is that it's nearly completed now and the car park has been finished!

Our new opening hours are:

Monday - Closed
Tuesday - 1pm to 4pm
Wednesday - 10am to 4pm
Thursday - 10am to 4pm
Friday - 10am to 4pm
Saturday - 10am to 4pm
Sunday - by arrangement*

* we are usually closed on Sundays, but we will open if there is sufficient demand.  Please contact us to make arrangements.

We'll continue to update this blog on a regular basis, with any changes to these hours.  Regular customers will also know that we regularly work past 4pm, so if you'd like to call in a little later then please give us a call and we'll be able to advise if we can stay open later to accommodate your visit.

Hope this helps!

Easter break at The Natural Soapworks

We have been told that the Ruskin Glass Centre's cafĂ© will be closed over Easter.  The closure of the cafe always has an impact on the numbers of visitors to our workshop, so we've decided to take an Easter break.

Our Ruskin Glass Centre shop will be closed until next Wednesday 30th March 2016, and then we'll re-open again at 12.30pm.  We realise that some local customers will probably want to call in for soaps and gifts at the weekend, so we'll open our shop between 10.30am - 3.30pm on Saturday 26th March 2016.

Orders placed on our websites will be processed in the date order they arrive, and will be dispatched from next Wednesday onwards.

So in the meantime, have a great Easter break!
